The Roche Workability Academy

Are you neurodiverse? Do you want to learn more about your strengths, discover your unique talents, and gain insider knowledge on how to navigate the recruitment process?

Apply this summer for our new eight-week Workability Academy, starting in September 2021, hosted by Roche Pharma UK in partnership with Exceptional Individuals.

About the Academy

Over the course of 8 weeks, you will join a small group taking part in a series of 6 virtual employability workshops. We want you to come away feeling empowered to navigate through recruitment processes and to thrive in employment, with a better understanding of your own unique talents.

What you will learn at the academy:

  • Know your neurodiversity strengths.
  • Understand reasonable adjustments and disclosure.
  • Learn presentations skills.
  • Create a CV to suit your skills.
  • Brush up on interview techniques.
  • Develop a career action plan.
  • Gain the confidence to navigate through recruitment processes.

Before applying for the Academy, please make sure you will be available to attend the following virtual workshops and have access to Zoom video conference software.

Dates for the Academy

Week 1. 22nd September 2021 from 10am to 12pm

Week 2. 29th September 2021 from 10am to 12pm

Week 3. 13th October 2021 from 10am to 12pm

Week 4. 20th October 2021 from 10am to 12pm

Week 5. 3rd November 2021 from 10am to 12pm

Week 6. 10th November 2021 from 10am to 12pm

The group will also have access to two optional 1-hour mentoring sessions with employees from Roche (dates to be confirmed once the programme has started).

Who can Apply?

The Workability Academy is open to adults aged 18+, with neurodiversities, who are currently searching for employment. This could include recent graduates, or those who have recently been made redundant and are looking to re-enter the workforce.

Applicants are invited to apply if they meet the following criteria:

  • Aged 18+
  • Neurodiverse
  • Graduated in the last two years and/or has recently been made redundant

How to Apply

Step 1:

Answer the following question in whichever way fits your talents best.

"What would you title your autobiography? And why?"

This could be a written piece (500 words or less), a video (3.5 minutes or less), an illustration, anything you like!

Step 2:

Send your submission via the form below by midnight 29th August 2021

Exceptional Individuals will review all applications and select 12 individuals to join the Workability Academy.
