Neurodivergent

Lived Experience

Receiving my autism diagnosis at 35 was a pivotal moment that helped me understand the challenges I’d faced throughout my working life, especially the ongoing struggle with burnout. Since then, I’ve connected with other neurodivergent individuals to learn, share, and grow in navigating neurodiversity at work.

At Exceptional Individuals, I combine my lived experience with strategic know-how and a special interest in process development to design and coordinate programmes that create truly inclusive workplaces. Doing work that aligns with my values and supports other neurodivergent individuals on their journeys makes what I do deeply meaningful to me.

What I Do

I help shape and deliver our services, from workplace needs assessments to follow-up support, ensuring our systems and processes are accessible, effective, and easy to navigate. My role supports candidates, colleagues, and employers to feel confident and well-equipped throughout their journey. It’s important to me that we, alongside the employers we work with, create inclusive spaces and processes for everyone who accesses them.

What I like Doing In My Spare Time:

Anything creative (write, paint, play the ukulele...), jigsaw puzzles, and going on adventures - whether that be a long hike or a good book

An interesting fact that I still can't get over is...

When a frog swallows food, it pulls its eyes down into the roof of its mouth. The eyes help push the food down its throat. So cool.
