We are a Disability Confident Leader, and can help support our partners to becoming Disability Confident.
The Disability Confident Scheme
The Disability Confident Employer Scheme supports employers to make the most of the talents that disabled people can bring to a workplace. At Exceptional Individuals, we help support our partners in applying for the scheme, and through working with us, help you achieve the highest Disability Confident accreditation.
The scheme helps employers recruit and retain great people with disabilities, and:
- Draw from the widest possible pool of talent
- Secure high quality staff who are skilled, loyal and hard working
- Improve employee morale and commitment
- Demonstrate that you treat all employees fairly
If you would like to know more about how we can help, please give us a call on 0208 133 6046, email, or fill in our contact form.
What are the three Disability Confident stages?
Level One: Committed
The first stage involves agreeing to the Disability Confident commitments, with at least one action identified that you will need to carry out. Some of the actions / activities you may choose include: work experience, apprenticeships etc.
Level Two: Employer
For 'Employer', you must self-assess your organisation around two themes: getting the right people, keeping and developing your people. Disability Confident Employers are recognised as going the extra mile to make sure disabled people get a fair chance.
Level Three: Leader
By stepping up to Level Three, you will be a champion within your community. You will have had your business assessed by someone outside your organisation (like Exceptional Individuals!), and be able to prove how you are a Disability Confident Leader.
